High School Field Trip

There will be a High School Geography Field Trip to Seal Rocks in August. This will involve camping out and learning about coastal environments and also doing some orienteering. Students will be required to cook all their own meals! The teachers don't have to eat it, though!

Fundraising next Wednesday

Primary students will be running two events next Wednesday to raise funds for the overnight Gold Excursion. There will be a cake stall at recess. And then at lunchtime the students will be auctioned as "slaves" for the afternoon. Anyone in the school may buy a primary student to act as their slave for the afternoon. But they can only do helpful things, its just for fun.

Primary Excursion

An exciting excursion for the Primary class is planned for Aug 10-11. They will be travelling to Bathurst to visit the Goldfields there. They will be staying overnight. Students will even get to pan for gold. This is part of their unit study on Gold this term. Sounds like great fun!

Flag Raising Ceremony

Next Wednesday at 10:45am there will be a flag raising ceremony held. All welcome.

Parent Interviews

Parent Interviews are scheduled for next Monday and Wednesday. Parents should consult their timetable or contact the school for their times.

Felisa's Photos of Her Holiday

This Friday Miss Relton will be showing her slides of her recent trip to England and France. Students will be viewing the presentation on Friday at 10:30am.

Parents Help With Reading

Thank you to all the parents and friends who regularly help with reading each morning. This regular program assists students develop good reading skills early in their school life, which stands them in good stead for their later learning. Thank you to all those who regularly give up a morning each week to assist with this important task.

Basic Skills Test

The students in Grades 3&5 will all take part in the Basic Skills Test next Tuesday and Thursday. This is a statewide test and will assist in benchmarking student's achievement against all other students in the state.
