High School Students perform well at HRIS Athletics

The High School students attended the HRIS athletics carnival last Friday and competed in track and field events. The students performed well and ended up winning the Champion school trophy based on school size. Well done to all Heritage Athletes.

Westfield Competition

Heritage Cooranbong is registered in the Westfield "Shop for you School" competition. Everyone can help the school win the prizes by taking their dockets to the service counter of their nearest Westfield and asking them to score the points towards Heritage College Cooranbong. Thanks for you help.

New School Bus

Heritage College has purchased a new 35 seater School bus for use on the Newcastle bus run. This is a significant upgrade from the previous 22 seater on which all the students on the northern run were squashed. Thank you to everyone who is raising funds for this bus.

Distance Education Approved

Heritage College Cooranbong has been recommended for approval to offer Distance Education to NSW students in years K-6. This means we will be able to enrol students from the beginning of term three. Please contact the school if you wish further information.

BOS Inspection Success

The Board of Studies inspect independent schools regularly to ensure that they are complying with government regulations relating to schools. Our school was inspected in early May and we were given the maximum possible registration period of five years. This is a reflection of the hard work all the members of our school community have invested in the school over the last five years. Well done, everyone!

Welcome Back to 2006

Welcome Back Everyone to an exciting year at Heritage College. This year we have a lot of exciting things happening. We have approximately 75 students, with the promise of more families moving into the area. This is fantastic for the school and also the area generally. This year Heritage College plans to offer Distance Education for Primary Students. We also hope to refurbish our car park, install new playground equipment, and a number of other projects.
It's great to see all the students so keen to be back at school and raring to go for the new year.

Happy Holidays

Thanks, everyone, for all the work you have invested into Heritage College this year. It has been a great year. It would not have been possible without your help. Have a well deserved break and we will see you in 2006, God willing.

Final School Day of 2005
